Allis Chalmers winder sitting on tree stump and winching logs up the side of the mountian. On the top hairpincorner of the Range Road. Bellthorpe 1954. Part of the “Mick Simpson” operation. All traffic stopped for at least 2 hours while the logs were loaded on the truck to start their journey to Chermside in Brisbane to be sawn into house timber to help house the growing population
